Our Commitment

Why Choose Kittens For Home

Choosing where to bring home your next cat — whether a silky Persian, a gentle giant Maine Coon, a floppy Ragdoll, or an athletic Bengal — is one of the most important decisions you'll make. A responsible cattery invests deeply in genetic health testing, thoughtful socialization, and lifelong support, giving every kitten the strongest possible start. Here's what sets Kittens For Home apart from the rest.

Pillar 1

Breed-Specific Health Testing

Every breeding cat in our program is tested for the conditions that matter most to their breed. Our Persian parents are screened for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Maine Coon parents are tested for HCM, hip dysplasia (HD), and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Ragdoll parents are echocardiographed for HCM. Bengal parents are DNA-tested for PRA-b, PK deficiency, and HCM. No cat enters our program without passing every relevant panel — and results are available on request.

Pillar 2

Home-Raised, Never Caged

Our kittens are born and raised inside our family home from day one — never in cages, stacked cattery runs, or commercial facilities. From their earliest days they hear the hum of appliances, feel gentle hands, and absorb the rhythm of daily household life. Whether your new kitten is a bold Bengal exploring every shelf or a laid-back Ragdoll melting in someone's arms, they already know what home feels like before they ever arrive at yours.

Pillar 3

Early Socialization & Handling

We begin gentle daily handling and sensory enrichment in the very first week of life. Kittens are introduced to varied sounds, textures, and ages of people so that confidence and trust are baked in — not trained in at the last minute. By the time they go home, every kitten is comfortable being held and groomed, which matters whether you're combing a Maine Coon's tufted coat, cleaning a Persian's face, or simply earning the trust of a high-energy Bengal.

Pillar 4

Multi-Breed Knowledge & Guidance

We raise four distinct breeds — Persian, Maine Coon, Ragdoll, and Bengal — and we know each one deeply. Persian flat-face care differs completely from Bengal enrichment needs; a Maine Coon's semi-long coat has different demands than a Ragdoll's silky colorpoint. We provide personalized, breed-specific guidance to help you choose the right kitten for your lifestyle, home size, and experience level — and we'll help you prepare before your kitten ever arrives.

Pillar 5

Complete Documentation

Every kitten leaves Kittens For Home with a complete packet: CFA registration papers (TICA for Bengals), full vaccination records, a deworming log, a veterinary health certificate, microchip information, and a care starter kit. The kit includes a comfort item carrying the scent of their mother, a small supply of their current food, and a detailed breed-specific care guide tailored to whichever kitten you're bringing home.

Pillar 6

Lifetime Support

Our relationship with you doesn't end on pickup day. We provide ongoing lifetime support for grooming questions, feeding decisions, litter-box habits, health concerns, and enrichment ideas across all four breeds. Whether you need tips on managing a Maine Coon's coat, channeling a Bengal's energy, or caring for a senior Persian, we are always just a call or message away — at any age, at any stage.

Not all kittens come from the same background. Here's how a responsible multi-breed cattery compares to other common sources.
